Winner of the Tesco Cornish New Potatoes Holiday

To celebrate the arrival of Cornish New potatoes in Tesco stores this season, Branston worked in partnership with the retailer to run a promotion highlighting their provenance. Cornish New potatoes are the first UK mainland New potatoes to be welcomed in to Tesco stores each year, and their arrival is heralded by many as the start of the summer, so the prize of a 5* family holiday in the beautiful Cornish countryside seemed to be particularly appropriate.

Tesco shoppers who bought one of the special stickered packs of Cornish New potatoes simply had to visit Branston’s Seasonal Spuds website to register their details and their unique pack code. The promotion ran throughout the Cornish New potatoes season in Tesco stores and the winner was drawn at random on 3 September.

The lucky winner was Teresa Pain, from Wiltshire. Teresa and her husband travelled to the Tesco Extra store in Salisbury to collect her prize voucher from Jonathan Taylor, general manager of Branston’s South West site and John Jones, Tesco produce manager. Teresa was “absolutely delighted” to have won the prize - a 7-night stay in a luxury Eden Lodge at the beautiful Retallack Resort and Spa in Cornwall – and was looking forward to treating her family to a very special holiday break.
