Lincoln site presents cheque to MattDotCom charity to support local teenagers

On Thursday (10 May) the team at the Branston's Lincoln site made a donation of £500 to local charity MattDotCom to help support their work in providing IT systems to teenagers with cancer and other life threatening conditions.

MattDotCom was set up after Matthew Harding-Price was diagnosed with cancer in 2001, aged 16. He was lying in a hospital bed on a chemotherapy drip and trying to do his schoolwork on his dad’s laptop when he had the idea of providing laptops to teenagers in the same situation as him. He knew how easy it was for seriously sick teenagers to become isolated from friends, feel out of touch and get left behind.

Matthew died in 2004, but the charity MattDotCom survives as a lasting legacy. So far they’ve helped 114 teenagers, providing tailored IT equipment to help with Education, Communication & Distraction.
