Branston Steps Up for new charity challenge
Stepping up 4 charity challenge
This September Branston is kicking off their charity fundraising with a new challenge. And as well as raising funds for each site’s Charity of the Year they are aiming to encourage everyone to increase activity levels and get fitter and healthier.
Every day for the 30 days of September the teams at each of their sites are challenging themselves to walk or run an average of 10,000 steps - a total of 300,000 over the month.
Pedometers are being provided to everyone taking part so that they can keep track of their step count and push themselves to achieve their individual goals. They’ll be hoping to raise funds through sponsorship to spur them on.
Simon Telfer, Branston HR director said: “Some of us may already be walking and running quite a lot, but many of us could benefit from pushing ourselves to clock up 10,000 steps every day. We hope that the opportunity to raise much-needed funds for our chosen charities will be a great incentive for getting everyone to step up to a more active lifestyle.”
The 10k 4 30 days challenge will be running throughout September, with each site hoping to raise as much as possible for their chosen charities:
