"My aim is to continue learning and help progress the process."
I first joined Branston in February 2008. I’ve had lots of roles here. I started as a Packer then moved on to End of Line Operative. I’m quite mechanically-minded, so I learned how to look after the lines as a Machine Operator, then a Machine Technician. From there I took on the role of Apprentice Engineer.
I studied at college while on the job, before qualifying as an Engineer. As I gained experience, I was promoted to Lead Engineer then Engineering Team Leader.
After 13 years I thought it would be good to widen my experience so I took a job elsewhere, first as an Engineer, then Engineering Team Leader.
After two and a half years I decided to return to Branston as I had previously enjoyed my time here. I knew some of the team at Protein which got me talking about the principle of the protein project and got me interested.
I’ve always found the Branston team to be very friendly and approachable. I also like the business values and the fact the team matters. We are driven here for results, but we get plenty of support to get things done.
My aim is to continue learning and help progress the process at Protein. Also, to develop my knowledge and understanding of the systems here.
